Hayes Family Home Project
|
|
Brittain & White’s use of eZ is having a tremendous impact on this family home project. eZ has taken the firm’s communication capabilities to a new level of performance.
On this particular project, except for the initial client meeting in Dallas, the entire design development process has been accomplished exclusively with online meetings using eZ. The client is extremely pleased with the intimate and immediate communication the firm is providing.

The goal of the charette was to develop a preliminary design for presentation to the client. Brittain & White began by gathering information from the client such as photos of area homes and available properties, and potential site plans. Images of Acadian style homes, other hard data gathered about potential sites and the pen and paper sketch of the initial floorplan were scanned. Images were also captured from the web for comparison.
The Brittain & White team brainstormed over all concepts and design parameters. The team then interactively sketched in eZ the house elevation over the site photo. Then by importing the initial pen and paper floorplan into ARRIS as a background, they created a simple line floorplan in ARRIS. This floorplan was exported into eZ for redline and markup.
The team created an eZ presentation for the client by inserting multiple file types used in the design development along with their preliminary floorplan.
