Yankee Barn Homes, Inc. specializes in building custom-designed, hand-crafted post and beam homes. They have been recognized by Better Homes & Gardens, Good House Keeping, House Beautiful, etc. for their beautiful barn-style homes.
Yankee Barn has two locations, the main office in Grantham, New Hampshire and a sales office in West Chester, Pennsylvania. With clients and co-workers, consultants, subcontractors, etc. located throughout the country and some overseas, they use eZ to provide immediate, visual communication between all those involved in the design/build process.

Yankee Barn uses eZ to work with an outside drafter located in Colorado. Meeting daily, they would review and markup the designs. The time associated with travel or even emailing files back in forth was saved. Also, with the time zone change it allowed for the drafter to work on projects after their normal hours and return them for review the next morning.

Yankee Barn uses eZ to check 3D panelized construction drawings from 2 different cad systems. They combine imported 3D walls from BuildersCAD with imported dxf 3D drawings from Cadworks for post and beam frames, and 3D roof panels. Then, using eZ’s dynamic 3D viewing capabilities, they could interactively rotate the model and view it from all angles. They could also slice through walls and divide the model into sections. This allowed them to visually check the different 3D drawings to be sure they will fit together after they are manufactured.
